I always woke up to little notes he'd left me. The place would always be a surprise, Sometimes so obviously tucked beside my pillow. sometimes a sticky note stuck to the front door. Sometimes written on a steamed mirror, only to reappear the next time I showered. What makes them so special to me, isnt even just the fact that he took the time to write them, but the fact they were all very different. He would take his time in writing me, no two notes alike. Some with elaborate little drawings (he is an artist after all.) They could have been so simple to just say " I love you " and I would have loved that he had taken the time to make sure I knew that while he was away, but they always said so much more.
