In 2010:
•Our little babe turned one.
•Our Oldest boy hit double digits. 10!
•We were heartbroken over an unexpected Military deployment.
•We rejoiced in an early and safe homecoming.
•We moved - much to the delight of the oldest boy having his own room.
•I got two tattoos.
•I celebrated my 4th wedding anniversary
•I watched my babe splash in the ocean, for his first beach trip.
•I turned 26.
•I found new strengths even in my weaknesses.
•I took thousands upon thousands of pictures.
•New friends were made.
•Some old friends were lost.
•Some old friends were found again.
In 2011 I will:
•Try even harder to be a mindful and relaxed parent. with stronger patience and softer communication.
•be a better wife.
•Sleep better, and sleep more.
•Be kinder to my body.
•Remember to take my vitamins.
•Find a yoga routine that fits into my life, because I miss it.
•Purge my surroundings, keeping only what I truly love.
•Try my hand at being a vegetarian again.
•Nourish my family with more locally grown/organic options. Lessen the sugar content and processed foods. Switch to whole wheat options (flour/bread) Organic local soymilk/whole milk. This will be a big challenge for our oldest he loves his white bread, he’s the only one.
•Reject negativity from myself and others.
•Learn to let go and be present. Sometimes I miss things in the process of trying to do it all. I don’t have to pick up the house multiple times a day, or wash every dish when it hits the sink. laundry can wait a day - Those things happen day after day. My boys won’t be little forever.
